October 3-6, 2022

It might have been a short week but we packed in so much learning!

This week we:

-Learned the water cycle, how transpirtation works, what is a tree. parts of a tree, building a tree out of nature's "loose parts" and the difference between deciduous and coniferous trees (we are experts on all things tree!)

-Looked at how groups make decisions and the advantages/disadvantages of different ways groups can make decisions

-Worked on our Worst Picture Day Ever stories, learning how to make strong endings and practicing the editing and revision process. Stay tuned for our published stories coming soon.

-Grade 6's worked on multiples in math which has been a great review of our multiplication facts. Grade 5's worked on their multiplication skills and continued working with numbers up to one million.

-On Thursday, you should have recieved an email from your child regarding their first month at school. Included in the email is what they have liked about school so far, learning they are proud of, and something they want to work on.

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving! See you on Tuesday.
